Thank you for making this free app! I love listening to several of HSWs podcast series, and this saves so much download space, and headaches from dealing with the website on mobile. However, the app is still frustratingly glitchy. You guys, its running on *a phone.* Phone calls are going to happen. When they do, the app pauses, appropriately, but when the call ends, the app drops its muffins over the multitasking. Usually it will resume play for several seconds, sometimes a minute or so, and then crash. Hopefully youve noted the current play time, since its a sad task to reopen the app, find your podcast again (which could be MUCH easier, btw), and scrub back to where youve left off... no simple feat in a 60+ minute episode. Honestly, Ive abandoned many podcasts because of the amount of trouble involved in climbing my way back in after a phone call related crash. So VERY frustrating. The app crashes at random as well, and for other multitasking reasons. The content is great, and the aesthetics are good; it really needs to keep track of ones place better. More features that other podcast apps have would be great but, above all, please fix the crashing.

I got on to download this app on my girlfriends phone to listen to a podcast and saw it only had 6 reviews! WHAT?!? This app is great! The HowStuffWorks people are great! 5 out of 5! Thank you all!

Tons of great facts! Love all the randomness of the facts and the quizzes are great fun... I share this app with everyone

I was going to write this review half an hour ago but got lost in a line of quizzes...

Ive listened to most of the pod casts and I love them all. As for the app, it only wants me to take quizzes. There is a quiz tab, but they invade every single other thing on the app. No more quizzes. Please, separate the stories and articles from the quizzes...

I love the Podcast and decided to try the App. The topics look interesting but the app keeps knocking me off.

I have had a terrible experience with both the website and the app. They both provide good information but in an unreadable format. There are so many horizontal bar ads on the webpage I could not find the instructional text among them. The app provides a search bar but it does not retract once the search is successful. Instead it takes up one third of the page, causing content to resize itself with graphics becoming covered by text. I went to the website to solve this problem, but the website contains no instructional information for their products. Instead, it points to a FAQ sheet, which is actually no help at all. In fact, I disliked this product so much that have taken the last 30 minutes of time I should be doing repairs to sit and write this review, thus wasting my own time. It is good information presented in an unusable format. I would give it no stars if I could.

This app used to be great but everytime I try to play something it kicks me off and closes it!? Please fix this??

Love SYSK and thought downloading the app would be an easy way to catch up on old episodes. Boy was I wrong. Doesnt make it 3 seconds into a show/video/audio before it crashes and kick you out of the app. Deleting app, not worth the space.

This is a fun and educational app. I like the wide variety of topics.

It pains me to say this, because I honestly love this app (its got a great interface and its nice when it works) and howstuffworks.com overall, but the darn thing always crashes when I open it. It didnt use to do this before! Now the app is practically unusable and that makes me very disappointed. Please fix this!

This application, at least on my iPhone, does not work very well. I can read one page and I press the next button and more often than not it goes to a commercial. Very frustrating.

The new app isnt perfect but its much better. Content is great. Sysk is awesome.

Yet another app that decided to change my setting for refreshing in the background. I had it turned off and they decided to turn it back on. There are reasons why people turn this off. Bad reviews for every app that does this.

The app is so much better since the update. Love that its much easier to find articles that Im interested in, for instance.

The old format was perfect and easy to use and now they just shoved all of the media into one slot so now its all cluttered. Its more tedious to use this way and I truly do hate it. Please change it back.

I loved being able to easily scroll the old podcasts but with all the media together it is cumbersome. Also the site is very slow to run with folks that have slower networks. I liked the old app. May have been less flashy but way more functional. Please change it back.

The only thing that I loved about this app, the quotes and facts section is now gone. I found some of the best quotes there. Please bring that feature back!!!

A great app to pass the time. It’s very educational and interesting. I can spend almost 30 minutes on this app without getting bored. The articles are always so intriguing.
